We decided it would be useful to dedicating a page to student advice and help topics. We felt that other student careers and counselling website werent very compacted and wasnt user friendly for students, this is why we decided on this website.

We reconsidered the layout of the website. We decided on 6 pages
Introduction - background information about the careers and counselling website. We inserted a table of contents. We choose a coluring pattern which is consistent throuhgout the website

Counselling support - we talked about the background and the opportunities it offers to students.

Help and advice - we included this as it is not included in many student careers and counselling websites and we feel this is important for students.

Student Links and career links. This includes listed websites for studnts to explore to find further information about career aspects.

Meeting

We picked a template for the website. We gathered images for the website. We choose headings for each page. Jennifer worked on the cover page and Lisa researched career aspects.

In the second meeting both members were present. We looked at different publisher templates.

Minutes and Site Map

• Firstly we have to choose a template for the website, we created the template with the use of draft website pages which we first tried out on paper.
• We both had similar ideas and combined these ideas to create the website and also edited and explored other ideas. We will look at competitive websites to integrate important aspects needed in this website for the benefit of students.
• We must apply a master page. We will have 4 pages and different topics on each page relating to the CIT Careers and Counselling Service.
• Lisa wil look at different career aspects and Jennifer will focus on Counselling and motivating students.
• On our first page we will have an introduction and images. We will add a logo to make the website personalised. We will insert a two page spread for the centre pages. We will have headings on each section to make our website more efficient to students.

We divided the tasks between us. We each researched different page headings and information. We selected certain parts relating to Careers and Counselling in CIT.

C162 at 2.00 Present Lisa Dillon and Jennifer O Driscoll, Our first meeting involved us talking about ideas for the website. We decided to choose CIT Careers and Counselling Service for our website. We chose this as it relates to us as students and we have interest in this area.
